Next week we return to our normal programming, but before that, we have one last staff led tasting! Stop by to try a handful of seasonal and limited release beers (mainly Saisons) from 5-7p.

The Beers:

  • O’Connor Brewing Co. Bells Beach Galaxy Saison: O’Connor’s Endless Saison Series was inspired by famous surf spots around the world and their local communities. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds are donated to the Surfrider Foundation Virginia Beach Chapter. “What do Bells Beach and Galaxy Hops have in common? They’re both found in awe-inspiring Victoria, Australia, where its fertile valleys roll into scenic, surf-riddled coastlines. Like the adrenaline-rousing waves of Bells Beach, this Aussie inspired Fall Saison will stimulate your palate with a perfect balance of Galaxy Hops, blended Saison yeast, flaked oats, and local wildflower honey.” 6% ABV, 25 IBU
  • Ardent Craft Ales Sweet Potato & Sage Saison: We recently had Ardent on the Tasting Bar and we have fallen for their beers! Their Sweet Potato & Sage is a dry, farmhouse-style saison. It has earthy tones from the sweet potatoes that are accentuated by the fragrant aroma of fresh, local sage from Victory Farms. This popular seasonal beer, which is a great alternative to a pumpkin beer, features a continental malt backbone and subtle hop presence. 6.4% ABV, 28 IBU
  • Left Hand Brewing Company Saison Au Genievre: One of their “Les Quatre Saisons” series, this seasonal saison features Colorado juniper berries in a dry, crisp farmhouse ale. This releases debut with the turning of the season and are designed to ease you into the next season! We’ve had the last two – Saison Au Miel and Saison Aux Baies Ameres – and they were excellent. There are quite memorable saisons, stop by and try the Saison Au Genievre today! 6.8% ABV, 10 IBU
  • Lickinghole Creek Craft Brewery Bourbon Barrel Three Chopt Tripel Ale: They are a water-conscious, biologically friendly farm brewery carefully crafting plow-to-pint beers from hops, barley, pumpkins, herbs, and spices that are grown on the 290 acre farm. They brew with well water drawn from the deep, purify the wastewater, and it is returned to the Lickinghole Creek watershed. This tripel is a hopped version of the European classic. It using American and New Zealand hops in several batches throughout the boil to impart a citrus note and hints of tropical fruits. The beer is aged for three months in Kentucky Bourbon Barrels that provide it with notes of vanilla, oak, and honey. 11.3% ABV, 39 IBUseasonal
