Blue Mountain Brewery has been in Nelson County, Virginia since 2007 and is a unique destination is the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. All of their ales and lagers are canned at one of their two facilities, either their site in Afton or the Blue Mountain Barrel House in Arrington. They brew about 10,000 barrels (roughly 310,000 gallons) of authentic Virginia craft beer annually. They even use Cascade hops grown on 1,000 hills in Afton and Arrington. We are proud to offer a taste of rural Virginia brewing to Crystal City:Blue Mountain Brewery

  • Full Nelson Virginia Pale Ale: Their flagship Virginia Pale Ale is a balanced beer with a malty body that is followed by a burst of American hop flavor and aroma. This should be called an IPA, but they have been calling it a Pale Ale since the beginning and aren’t going to change anytime soon! Citrusy, floral and highly sessionable! 5.9% ABV, 60 IBU
  • A Hopwork Orange: An orange infused IPA built with light crystal malt and a heavy dose of Simcoe, Cascade and Centennial hops. 7% ABV, 65 IBU
  • Evil 8 Belgian-Abbey-style Dubbel: Grab their January seasonal early with Evil 8! Aromatic, malt driven dubbel with yeasty notes of dark plum and mild clove. A ruby beer for the dark days of deep winter! 7.7% ABV, 30 IBU
  • Dark Hollow: An Imperial Stout aged in Bourbon Barrels for extended periods of time. This dark beer has plenty of vanilla and bourbon notes while having had the time to gain tons of complexity, depth, and character while biding its time in wood. 10% ABV, 70 IBU
