These wines are fresh to our market and this is our way of introducing a very special house to you! It’s not easy to summarize the various pieces of press that this house has gotten over the year, but just in the last 12 months, they have gotten some rave reviews …

  • In Forbes “The Ultimate Guide to the Best Champagnes for the Holidays,” Katie Kelly Bell recommends “the best Champagnes I tasted this year,” including one of their higher end bottlings, La Croisette Brut NV.
  • In the Grape Collective’s article by Dorothy J. Gaiter called “My Journey Through the Most Exciting Wines of 2017,” surveying the wines she tasted last year. She gave LECLERC BRIANT Brut Réserve NV a score of ‘Delicious’ and called it one of the “most breathtaking wines” of the year.
  • More recently, Tom Hyland, writing in Forbes (in “Non-Vintage Champagnes You Should Know,”), remarks about the “well-made and appealing non-vintage Champagnes that aren’t as well known” and lists Leclerc Briant amoung those that you should know because, as he notes in his tasting note of the Brut Réserve NV, “its appealing drinkability will satisfy a wide range of tastes, from beginners to veteran Champagne drinkers; meanwhile, the pricing is extremely fair, making it an excellent value.”

Beyond what is in the bottle, Leclerc Briant is special because of the role this boutique Champagne house has played in the region’s organic and biodynamic movement. To quote Peter Liem’s (from Champagne: The Essential Guide to the Wines, Producers, and Terroirs of the Iconic Region):

“It isn’t easy to describe the brilliance of Hervé Jestin, or to explain why he is one of Champagne’s best winemakers. His theories of biodynamics extend far beyond what most people associate with the word, venturing into realms that border on the mystic, and frankly, there is much about his methods that is difficult to comprehend. However, his wines are unlike anything else being made in Champagne. Whether you enjoy them or not, they represent an important evolution in the region’s organic and biodynamic movement. The house’s initial releases under its new ownership are highly promising.”

Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to discover this wonderful Champagne house today!
