Christmas dinner is one of the biggest events of the year for many families, yet the planning of the meal can be fraught with difficulties. Cooking for sprout-hating children, the solo vegan, or the cousin who prefers ham to turkey; getting the wines right is not straightforward either!  Wine is an important part of bringing everyone together and it is a fundamental part of the Italian festive season. Italians typically bring out special wines to celebrate Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years Day.

What wines? There are tons of guidelines to what should be drunk with what foods to enhance their flavors and we often make recommendations for our wines … but at the end of it all, drink what you enjoy! Come out today and find something that you enjoy!

The Wines:

  • Nobile Delle Rocche Trebbiano D’Abruzzo DOC: Trebbiano is a group of white wine grapes that has been thrown together based on tradition and similarities. The vast majority of the grapes planted under the Trebbiano banner at the same grape as Ugni Blanc, the grape of Armagnac and Cognac. It is known for its high acidity and subtle flavors. This wine is 100% Trebbiano is a fresh, soft, and balanced wine with a distinctive fruity aroma. Pair this with appetizers, light poultry dishes, and fish dishes.
