Come try some great wines with Greg for your Memorial Day Weekend! Pick up a bottle to enjoy while grilling or just hanging around outside.

The Wines:

  • Eisold-Smith Edel 2015: A blend of old vine Gewurztraminer, Pinot gris & Sauvignon blanc, Eisold-Smith pulled the trigger at just the right moment to harvest, press & ferment the Trauben in order to produce one harmonious sum. EDEL was slowly fermented for four months, saw no oak nor malolactic conversion. The resulting wine exhibits unbreakable, swirling aromatics of rose water, lychee, apple blossom & mirabelle plum. The palate, carried by fresh, invigorating acidity, achieves an unassuming voluptuousness that dances across the palate to the elevated, citrus finish… Even Steffi Graf would marvel at this wine’s follow-through. Pairs well with a wide variety of foods or just as a great patio sipper.
  • Margerum 2016 Riviera Rosé: Grenache and Syrah picked specifically for rosé production. The grapes are crushed and immediately pressed to stainless steel tanks for a long cold fermentation. The wine is blended with various lots of Counoise, Cinsaut, and other Grenache vineyards that were saignéed. Saignée is a winemaking process where we bleed off a portion of slightly pink juice from a red must right after crush. We then filter and bottled early to capture brightness and vibrancy. This is a refreshing dry spring and summer rosé for picnics and other activities. A crushable patio pounder of a rosé!
  • Poggio Anima ‘Raphael’ Terre Siciliane IGP 2016: Raphael is known as the “patron saint of travelers and ‘happy meetings’.” There are not many wines more fitting to drink while one travels nor to share in happy meetings than a chilled glass of rosé. The varied nature of the soils combined with a warm and windy climate, provide the best results with minimal intervention or cultivation. Camporeale is a small farming town in the province of Palermo in the eastern part of the Val di Mazara. Bright pink. Spices, flowers and herbs complement red berries on the nose and in the mouth. At once dense and juicy, with the light red fruit flavors and floral notes carrying through on the persistent finish. 95% Syrah & 5% Zibibbo
  • Secret Squirrel Red Blend: Secret Squirrel comes from the highest quality fruit grown in our estate vineyards in the Red Mountain, Walla Walla Valley and Yakima Valley AVAs. It is fermented by native yeast with extended maturation in concrete and French oak. Secret Squirrel is privately owned and personally made by people that truly love wine. One taste and you’ll want to squirrel some away for yourself. A wildly expansive nose shows off wonderful herbaceous notes, tea leaf, mint, eucalyptus, pomegranate, olive brine, rubbed sage, fennel, dried red currant, Christmas spice, vanilla bean and cocoa powder. On the palate, this wine is deeply complex, well-structured and delicious with flavors of dried plum, rustic red fruits, blackberry, dusty tannins, cedar and a lingering finish.
