Come join Fabio at our tasting table this evening! He’ll be pouring a fantastic selection of Italian wines well-suited to the spring season. Enjoy:

-Avelium Bianco Puglia – 

Type of wine: White

Classification: IGP

Region: Apulia

Area of production: Comune di Andria nella zona D.O.C. “Castel del Monte” (Apulia)

Grapes: Bombino bianco, Chardonnay

Alcohol: 12% vol.

Colour: Straw yellow with greenish reflections

Bouquet: Fresh bouquet, floral and fruity.

Taste: Palate fresh and fruity, well-balanced.

Food Pairings: Perfect with fish dishes. Excellent as an aperitif.

Service temperature: 10 °C.

-Avelium Rosso Puglia-

Type of wine: Red

Classification: IGP

Region: Apulia

Area of production: Comune di Andria nella zona D.O.C. “Castel del Monte”

Grapes: Nero di Troia, Cabernet Sauvignon.

Alcohol: 13%vol.

Colour: Intense ruby red.

Bouquet: Rich with aromas of red berries.

Taste: Velvety, balanced, persistent.

Food Pairings: Excellent with first courses in general, roasted meat and mature cheeses.

Service temperature: 16 – 18 °C

-Fattoria Lavacchio Chianti Rufina-

Type of wine:  Red

Classification: DOCG

Region: Toscany

Area of production: Toscany

Grapes: 90% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo nero, 5% Ciliegiolo

Alcohol: 13,5%vol.

Colour: Ruby red color.

Bouquet: This wine has a generous bouquet with a fruity, floral flavour with hints of violet.

Taste: Dry and well-balanced flavour.

Food Pairings: This wine is a particularly suitable accompaniment to roasts, grilled meat and hearty soups.

Service temperature: 16 – 18°C.

-Cantine Castelvecchio Barbaresco-

Type of wine: Red

Grape varieties: Nebbiolo 100%. The soil is clayish tuff with some sandy veins.

Color: intense garnet red

Nose: dense with fruit (blackberries, black cherries and plums), overtones of slightly withered rose and violet petals and spices

Flavour: warm, elegant and wrapping, long lasting flavour with overtones confirming aromas perceived on the nose with one note of cocoa
