Sweetwater is turning 21 this month! They have been making their unique style of southern beer in Atlanta since 1997 when two college buddies opened up a small place. A couple of years later, they won Small Brewery of the year at GABF (2002), as the fist brewery east of the Mississippi to win it! Since then, they have been on a roll with a couple of expansions and a number of awesome beers to their name. Come out tonight to see what they have out currently …

The Beers:

  • 420 Extra Pale Ale: The original beer and most popular brew! A West Coast-style Extra Pale Ale with a great hop character from Centennial and Cascade hops, it has a nice fresh herbal and floral profile. Check out their new 16oz cans! 5.7% ABV, 39 IBUs
  • Grass Monkey: “Spring got sprung with this funky monkey. We dropped a big stash of Lemondrop hops into both the kettle and the dry hop – delivering a big citrus blast – and topped it off with a Lemongrass addition for a refreshing twist. Light in body with bright citrus notes, this is an extremely complex but very easy drinking brew.” 5.4% ABV, 30 IBUs
  • Hatchery Series Release #5 – NE Style IPA: (Growler Station Special) From the brewer, James: “The haze craze is real. This NE style IPA offers an extremely hoppy beer with restrained bitterness and a soft mouthfeel. We added flaked rye for a bit of a dirty southern twist.”
  • Cambium: From SweetWater’s new barrel aging facility coming the release of their first foeder beer – a golden sour base beer with lactobacillus, SweetWater’s house Brettanomyces strain, and Belgian saison yeast – aged for 6 month on American oak. Look for stone fruit flavor and aroma, with a slightly funky effervescence. 6.4% ABV
